David Ackert mentors high-achieving professionals in the corporate, legal, finance, and accounting sectors to become more effective leaders. As an executive coach, he has advised hundreds of business leaders from organizations such as Disney, Warner Brothers, NBC/Universal, TBWA/Chiat/Day and Scholastic. In the professional services sector, he has developed and implemented business development programs for both AmLaw 100 and boutique firms and is the founder of two business development e-learning programs, Practice Boomers and Prospero J.D.

David has published and been quoted in such media as the Los Angeles Times, the National Review, the Daily Journal, the Wall Street Journal, and the Los Angeles Business Journal. He often leads panels and presents seminars on effective communication and business development strategies. David regularly keynotes at retreats and trade conferences. He serves as a guest lecturer at USC’s Marshall School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University’s Masters in Entertainment Industry Management program, and is an instructor at UCLA Extension’s business, management and law department.

He co-founded and serves as board director for Voices in Harmony, an arts/mentoring organization that provides extra-curricular and classroom programs for at-risk teens around the world. In recognition of his community service, David’s alma mater, Ithaca College, conferred him with its “Difference Maker” award.

David holds degrees from Carnegie Mellon University, Ithaca College, and University of Santa Monica, from which he earned a Master’s in Psychology. He also holds a Business Coaching Certification from SBS.
